Vacant Lot Complaint

The City requires owners of vacant lots to keep them clean and free of debris. A vacant lot is a plot of land without any building or building foundation.

The City accepts reports of dirty vacant lots. The City inspects the lot within three to five days. If the inspector confirms that there is a problem, the City gives the owner a deadline to clean the lot. If the owner does not clean the lot by the deadline, the City may clean the lot and charge the owner for the work.

The City also accepts reports that a privately-owned vacant lot is unfenced.

Report a dirty vacant lot.

Contact a Department of Transportation Commissioner to report an unfenced private lot.
