Water Potability Certificate

The City issues water potability certificates approving that water is fit for people to drink.

Meat and poultry packing operations and other types of packaged food processors are required by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) to have the water used in their packaging or canning process certified for potability.

The City inspects water and sewer connections and collects water samples for analysis. Once the inspection and water analysis is completed successfully, the City provides the facility with a letter stating that the inspection was completed and water quality standards were met.
