The City regulates the construction of sidewalk sheds. A sidewalk shed is a structure constructed over a sidewalk to protect pedestrians from objects falling from a building or construction site.
To apply for a Sidewalk Shed Permit, download the PW1 Plan or Work Approval Application form online or pick it up at a Department of Buildings (DOB) Borough Office.
