Permitting, licensing or registration requirements, enforcement information, provider workshops, and inspection services are available along with reports about enforcement actions taken against day care services in New York City.
New York State law requires fingerprinting as part of the application for child care permitting, registration or licensing.
The City offers fingerprinting for providers, assistants, or household members working in home-based or after-school child care settings. The City also offers fingerprinting for center-based child care or pre-school staff.
