Social Innovation Fund Family Rewards

The Social Innovation Fund Family Rewards study is an initiative under Mayor Bloomberg’s Center for Economic Opportunity.  Working with outside partners, the City of New York is seeking families who live in the Bronx, are receiving public assistance or food stamps, and have a child enrolled in 9th or 10th grade in a New York City public school.

The study will offer cash incentives to selected participants for completing specific activities related to health, education, or employment.  Half of the families who sign up will be selected for an opportunity to earn up to $2000 or more per year.  All families who sign up for a chance to be in the program will receive a $23 MetroCard and may be contacted for a paid interview.

This program builds on the successes of the “Opportunity NYC: Family Rewards Program,” which operated in New York City from 2007-2010.
