Can I bring my dog to the park?

Yes, dogs are welcome in City parks. Your dog must be on a leash, except in dog runs and designated areas during off-leash hours. You are allowed to bring up to three dogs at a time to a dog run.

Dogs are not allowed in playgrounds, zoos, swimming pools, bathing areas, fountains, ballfields, or on basketball, handball, and tennis courts.

Dogs are not allowed on beaches from May 1 to October 1. During the off-season, they are allowed on Rockaway Beach, Coney Island, Brighton Beach, Manhattan Beach, Midland Beach, and South Beach.
