How does NYPD respond to noise complaints?

The New York City Police Department takes Service Requests about noise from neighbors, streets, sidewalks, clubs, bars, stores, businesses, vehicles, parks, and houses of worship. Officers from the local police precinct respond to those noise complaints when they are not handling emergencies. The officers will be able to take action if the noise is still happening when they arrive.
