The fare is the amount shown on the meter, plus all tolls to and from the destination. The rate is calculated at the standard city rate within New York City and at twice the metered rate while in Westchester or Nassau County.

Newark Airport
The fare is the amount shown on the meter, plus all tolls to and from the destination. The rate is calculated using Rate Code 3, which includes a surcharge of $17.50.

Other Trips Outside NYC
For other trips beyond the limits of New York City, the fare is a flat rate agreed upon between the driver and passenger at the start of the trip.
